"Mitahara Empowers National Cricket Players with Food and Nutrition Education"

Mitahara, a socially responsible enterprise promoting healthy eating habits and a sustainable food system, has organized a workshop on 'Improving Performance with Good Nutrition' for national cricket team in collaboration with the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN). The objective of the program was to educate and sensitize national cricket teams about the impact of food on overall performance.



Mitahara's team of expert nutritionists conducted a nutritional assessment and delivered a comprehensive session on nutritional distribution, recommendations for players, and tips for maintaining healthy eating habits. The nutritional assessment conducted by Mitahara's team of experts also enabled players to understand their body composition and how to make the necessary adjustments to their diet to improve their performance.


Followed by the assesment, team of nutrition experts from Mitahara Supriya Bhattarai & Astha Karkee facilitated a comprehensive session on nutritional distribution, recommendations for players, and tips for maintaining healthy eating habits. The session covered topics such as what to eat before, during, and after the game, what to eat during training periods, and what to eat for recovery.


As part of the program, Mitahara also prepared and delivered healthy food options- Energy Balls made from whole seeds and nuts, as snacks to the players. The program also emphasized the importance of eating local, wholesome, and eco-friendly foods. Good nutrition is just one aspect of overall health, and Mitahara's program serves as a reminder that good sleep, exercise, and stress management also contribute to enhancing performance.


The Coach, Monty Desai appreciated Mitahara's efforts, stating that it is crucial for players to understand the importance of food and nutrition. Mitahara's collaboration with CAN emphasizes the significance of promoting healthy eating habits among athletes to enhance their overall performance.
